Ballast is available in small and jumbo bags, for delivery or collection.
Ballast Sand is a mixture of stone and sharp sand and it is ideal for use with concrete to create a stronger mix.
The workability of the concrete will depend on the amount of sand and water used.
This sand when mixed into concrete has many uses including making the foundations of garden walls, conservatories and sheds. It can also create small paths.
For creating smooth internal renders, use Soft Building Sand for an even finish and an easy to work mortar.
Ballast Jumbo bags and Small Bags are available at our branches in Leicester and Derby for collection, and also for delivery within a 50 mile radius from our branches (subject to delivery charges)
Delivery is typically available within 5 working days but more than often slots for next day delivery will be available, If you need a specific date, inform our team.
